Our school welcomes families from abroad, ensuring educational continuity with the IB Primary Years Programme, an excellent proficiency in English combined with seamless integration with the Italian Ministerial program.
We are fully committed to facilitating the smoothest possible transition, providing flexibility and empathy, with the ongoing support from our Child Study Team, composed of a School Counselor, a psychologist and a psychomotor therapist.
To find out more about our approach, teachers, services, and extra activities or ask any questions you may have, please reserve a one-to-one appointment with our Head of Admissions.

Integrated cognitive bilingualism
A talented and dedicated faculty of highly qualified native speaking teachers provide our students with the opportunity to achieve full proficiency in the second language by implementing an outstanding model of integrated cognitive bilingualism.
BES is the only school in Milan that integrates the Italian Ministerial Program (MIUR) with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the IBO, both in Italian and English.

Innovative Education
We develop the full potential of each student by implementing our constructivist approach. Constructivist learning theory suggests that people develop their own understanding and knowledge of the world through experiencing things and reflecting on those experiences.
The students become active creators of their own knowledge by developing their unique potential. We enhance the students’ international mindset and encourage them to become informed bilingual global citizens.

Parent Involvement
At BES, each student is a unique and special individual. Students have different paces of learning and many factors affect their progress, for example, skills, their emotional status, age and maturity.
In order to provide individualized instruction to each of them, our approach strongly values family involvement by maintaining educational continuity between home and school.
Learning landscapes
Imaginative and suggesting learning landscapes allow the students to be empowered and motivated to choose where to work, where to play and what to explore, thus fostering the students’ autonomy, independence and responsibility.
The internationally renowned architect Rosan Bosch, considered as the leading figure of innovative educational theories of the third millennium, designed “revolutionary” environments: the school common areas are transformed into inspiring
spaces for teaching, learning, tutoring and social activities.
The Knowledge Center, the garden, the Lego® Lab, the gym and the cafeteria are spaces functional to learning and allow teachers and students to work in a variety of “landscapes” meeting the educational needs and goals.
